To many Norwegian TV viewers, Willie Garson was known as Stanford Blatch, the close friend of the main character Carrie Bradshaw in the HBO series “Sex and the City”.
He starred in the series alongside lead actress Sarah Jessica Parker in all the years the series aired on television, from the first episode in 1998 until it was aired in 2004. For many, he is also known as the character Mozzie in the TV series “White Collar”.
In the last time before his death, he worked on the upcoming “Sex and the City” spin-off series “And just like that”, where it is planned to reunite with Garson, Parker and the group of friends from the original series, writes BBC.

It was the actor’s son Nathen Garson who went public with the news that his father is dead. The cause of death is not known.

Garson, who had a master’s degree in theater from the prestigious Yale University, starred in several major series during the 1980s, including “Cheers,” “Five in the Family,” and “Law and Order in LA.” He was also seen in “X-files”, “A boy’s life” and “Friends for life”.
In addition to his success as an actress, Willie Garson was an advocate for adoption, and even adopted his son Nathen in 2009.
