Behind these capitals is Málaga, ten times graced with the biggest prize in the Christmas Lottery.
Within this framework, Malaga accumulates 26 ‘Gordos’ in its province in 14 towns, highlighting Malaga with ten and Álora, Marbella and Ronda with two each; Seville has 23 in seven municipalities, 17 in the capital; Cádiz, 22 in nine locations, with 12 in the capital and three in Algeciras; Granada, 16 in eight locations, with nine in the capital and two in Almuñécar, and Córdoba, with 12 ‘Gordos’ in nine locations, with four in the capital.

In the national framework, the ranking of the luckiest places continues to be led for yet another year by the city of Madrid, where the ‘Gordo’ has fallen a total of 82 times in the more than 200-year history of the traditional draw. Behind her is Barcelona with 42, Seville with 17, Bilbao (14), Valencia (13), Zaragoza (13) and Cádiz (12). Of all of them, only in Madrid did the ‘Gordo’ fall in last year’s draw.
