Sevilla’s Planning and the Future of Monchi: Center Forward Options for the Club

It advances, but at a snail’s pace. Sevilla’s planning is pending what happens with the future of its sports director, Monchi, and, meanwhile, it is in ‘stand by’.

For something the Lion of San Fernando advised, in their meeting on Monday, that Fernando Navarro be his replacement. At this point in the season, the positions to be reinforced have already been decided, the lists of substitutes have been made and, in many cases, the scores and negotiations have already advanced. And the former Sevilla captain, Monchi’s right hand, is aware of all of them and the succession, at least this summer, would not be traumatic.

One of the positions to be filled will be center forward. It is expected that Rafa Mir will look for a way out -Celta have it in mind, especially if Patience leaves- and, even, it is not ruled out that a powerful club comes for En-Nesyri. Hence the need for this list, unlike others, to be bulging and, being the most expensive position to cover, to make progress before the month of July. Either that, or wait for the ‘discards’ of the last day to achieve affordable prices or level players.
