Barcelona failed to win when they traveled to Sevilla headquarters in the Spanish League continued. Had a superior number of players in the second half, Xavi Hernandez’s squad was only able to draw 1-1.

The course of the match
Barcelona got the first opportunity in the 8th minute. Ousmane Dembele’s free-kick cross was headed by Ferran Jutgla, but bounced off target. In the 12th minute, Jutgla’s long-range shot has not yet led to the goal.
Barcelona almost scored in the 14th minute. Jordi Alba’s crossing was headed by Frenkie de Jong in the Sevilla penalty box, but the ball was saved by Yassine Bounou. A minute later, Gavi’s long-range shot also deviated from the target.
Jutgla had his third chance in the 18th minute, but his low shot was no problem for Bounou.
Sevilla got the first chance in this match in the 28th minute. Rafa Mir made a long-range effort, but it went wide to the left of the goal. While Dembele’s close-range shot two minutes later forced Bounou to work hard to save his goal.
Many were attacked, in fact Sevilla managed to take the lead in the 32nd minute. Receiving a corner kick from Ivan Rakitic, Papu Gomez fired a low shot into the left corner of the Barcelona goal without being able to be driven by Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
But that advantage failed to be maintained. Barcelona managed to equalize in the 45th minute. Starting from Dembele’s corner kick, Ronald Araujo’s header failed to be saved by Bounou. The 1-1 score lasted until the break.
In the second half, Sevilla tried to find a quick goal. Thomas Delaney had two chances, with a left-footed effort in the 51st minute and a header two minutes later, but all failed to pay off.
Disastrous for Sevilla comes in the 64th minute. In the midst of a dispute between the two teams, Jules Kunde received a direct red card from referee Carlos del Cerro for deliberately throwing the ball in Alba’s face.
The superiority of the number of players gives Barcelona the upper hand. Barcelona practically controlled the game. Dembele bravely fired a long-range shot in the 72nd minute but missed the mark.
Gavi managed to meet Abdessamad Ezzalzouli’s cross in the 81st minute, but his header was narrowly wide on the left side of the Sevilla goal. Meanwhile, Dembele’s left-footed shot in the penalty box in the 84th minute still hit the post.
There were no more goals that could be created by both teams, and the 1-1 score lasted until the end.
