Sevilla FC is apparently interested in Sardar Azmoun. As Fabrizio Romano reports, the Spanish first division club has contacted those responsible at Bayer Leverkusen to find out whether the Iranian striker is available on the transfer market.

Azmoun is currently playing on loan for AS Roma. The 29-year-old doesn’t make it past short appearances there, and he’s still waiting for his starting eleven debut. The loan would therefore have to be ended early in order to make a Sevilla transfer possible.

If this happens, it would probably be the second time that a player returns to his parent club before the end of the loan to move on to Sevilla. Something similar will happen with David Datro Fofana. The 21-year-old Ivorian, on loan from Chelsea, is actually under contract with Union Berlin until the end of the year, but will probably spend the second half of the season in Andalusia. Romano emphasizes that both Fofana and Azmoun should strengthen the Sevilla attack.
