In a few hours, 180 millimeters of rain can fall in the northeast of Mallorca on Thursday. Code red applies for this. Code orange is in effect on the rest of the island and 150 millimeters can fall in a few hours. Ibiza also has color code orange and similar precipitation amounts are expected. Due to the severe storm, at least forty flights were cancelled at Palma de Mallorca airport on Wednesday. Air traffic on the island is expected to remain disrupted until Friday.
