Thunderstorms, some heavy, initiate a change in the weather in Baden-Württemberg. According to the German Weather Service (DWD) on Thursday, the possibility of severe thunderstorms must be expected throughout the country until Friday morning.

Heavy heavy rain with up to 40 liters per square meter in a short time, heavy gusts of wind around 100 kilometers per hour and isolated hurricane gusts of up to 120 kilometers per hour are possible. There could also be hail with a diameter of three centimeters.

Temperatures will drop towards the weekend. On Friday the temperatures will still be around 30 degrees, but there will be a lot of clouds over the country, with some thundery rain. Stormy gusts are expected in the Black Forest highlands.

Temperatures drop to 22 to 25 degrees in Baden-Württemberg

On Saturday it will be cloudy and mostly dry. In the southeast, however, thunderstorms can also form in certain areas. The temperatures are between 22 and 25 degrees. Long-lasting rain is expected in Upper Swabia on Sunday night.

On Sunday it should continue to be overcast and partly wet from Lake Constance to the Danube region. Temperatures on the Rhine are around 23 degrees with strong gusts.

In general, the meteorologists expect showers and thunderstorms again and again in the next week. The temperatures continue to drop and on Monday are only around 20 degrees. “We cannot expect a nice weather high like we had last week,” said a spokesman for the DWD.
