Severe Storms Devastate Matador, Texas and Leave Thousands Without Power

Violent storms wreaked havoc in the small northern Texas town of Matador, resulting in severe destruction and fatalities. The record-breaking heatwave is expected to persist across large portions of Texas into early next week. Last week, a tornado tore through Perryton in the Texas panhandle, claiming three lives and injuring up to 100 people.
