Severe penalties for Al-Ahly and Bahrain after Arab Table Tennis Championship events

The Appeals Committee for the Arab Clubs Table Tennis Championship announced the decisions related to the events of the match Al Ahly Bahrain and Bahrain are in the quarterfinals of the tournament, which is currently taking place in Hall No. 2 of the Cairo International Stadium Complex of Halls, from December 25 to 31, with the participation of 32 teams from various Arab countries.

The match ended with the Bahraini team winning 3/2 in the biggest upsets of the tournament, and its end saw unfortunate events between the players and administrators of the two teams, resulting in the following decisions being taken :

Fifthly, the protest filed by Ahmed Hamed, the CEO of the club, was rejected Al Ahly form and acceptance guaranteed.

Al-Ahly and Zamalek’s teams lost their Arab Clubs Championship for Table Tennis quarterfinal match where Al-Ahly lost to Bahrain and Zamalek lost to Qatar.

Enppi qualified for the semi-finals, after defeating Al-Kharroub Youth Association team, 3-0, after Antoine Richard, Ahmed Nadim and Ali Ghallab defeated Algerian trio Sami Kharroub, Wafi Shams Al-Din and Akram Bin Al-Nawi respectively to face Bahrain Sar, who managed to beat Qatar Al-Sadd 3-1.

Thus, Enppi will face its Bahraini counterpart, Sarr, in the semi-finals, while Bahrain will face its Qatari counterpart, Qatar, today, Friday, at six in the evening.

It is worth noting that a matchup is planned which will bring together Al-Ahly and Zamalek to determine the fifth to eighth positions.
