Havana, June 13, WAM/ Three people were killed as a result of heavy rains that fell several days ago in eastern and central Cuba, causing severe material damage and the evacuation of thousands of people, according to what the Cuban authorities announced.
The rains began last Thursday, and their intensity decreased on Monday, but relief operations continue in a number of provinces in eastern Cuba.
Bridges, roads and sewage networks were damaged, and trains heading from Havana to the east of the country were stopped.
