Season 2 of Severance will arrive on Apple TV+ January 17, 2025, a huge gap of almost 3 years with the first season (released in 2022). I am Stillerthe designer and co-producer of the series, spoke about this delay in the columns of Variety : “These last few years have been an interesting and difficult time (with the pandemic). It wasn’t easy to do things. We stayed focused on the idea of making the best season possible, and it took a lot of time,” he justifies. “We are aware of that. Like other people, I get frustrated when things take too long. I understand people who would have liked to see Season 2 earlier. I understand this feeling of impatience. “And to continue: “Now I hope it’s good! It’s been a long time coming and I know people just want something that lives up to what they experienced in Season 1. Hopefully it won’t disappoint.”
Stiller also admits with a certain humility that Severance is his first audiovisual success: “I’ve never experienced this before: doing a second season of anything!
