– One person has been confirmed dead. Notification of relatives is in progress. One person was transported to Ålesund Hospital by air ambulance, unknown degree of injury. The third appears unharmed. The road will be closed on the spot for a while, the police inform on Twitter.
The accident happened between a truck, a van and a car. A total of three people were involved in the accident.
– Due to the extent of the accident, there will be work on site for a while longer, says operations manager Arild Reite in the police in Møre og Romsdal to NRK at 5 p.m.
All emergency services have been on site, including an ambulance helicopter that has carried one person with it.
– Now the police and fire brigade are back on site, Reite says.
There are long queues in the area. The recommended detour is via E39, Festøya – Solavågen, reports Vegtrafikksentralen.
