The emergency services are working to free people after a very serious traffic accident in Voss. Six people are involved in the accident.

Three cars and six people are involved in a traffic accident on the E16 in Voss by Seimsvatnet, the police report. They refer to it as a very serious accident and write in a press release that there are critically injured people.
– It is a serious traffic accident. Health and more resources are in place. We are working to free people, some of them are trapped, says duty commander at the 110 exchange, Tore Fanebust, to VG.
He says that this is a front-to-front accident. There is an 80-zone on site.
– There is major material damage. The police are conducting investigations on the spot, and clean-up work is underway, says Fanebust.
He does not know how many were released after being trapped, or how many people were in each car.
An air ambulance has been sent to the scene. The road is closed for an uncertain time ahead.
The police were notified of the accident at 09.59. The cause of the accident is not known.
