Several thousand in the Netherlands are protesting against the reintroduction of quarantine restrictions

From Saturday, in view of the rapid increase in the number of infected and hospitalized, masks must be mandatory again in all indoor public places, including shops, libraries, railway stations, hospitals and universities.

Visits to places such as gyms or zoos now require a certificate attesting to vaccination against Covid-19, the onset of the disease, or a recent negative test.

Citizens are again required to keep a distance of at least 1.5 meters.

One of the speakers during the protest equated the current quarantine restrictions with the Nazi occupation regime and called the current situation “unvaccinated apartheid”.

At the same time, some demonstrators expressed dissatisfaction with various social problems, such as lack of housing and poverty among the elderly.

About a month ago, the Netherlands renounced all restrictions and social exclusion rules. As a result, the infection has spread rapidly again.
