The neighbor also reported that, moments later, a neighbor who lives in the house next to hers, told her that two televisions had also burned in her home, another two to a neighbor who lives across the street and three in another house in the corner. “We were informed that the problem occurred in an Edesa transformer that generated an electric shock and burned all the devices,” he said, clarifying that “we have stabilized televisions and they still burned.”
Consulted by this newspaper, he reported that he contacted Edesa’s 0800, from where they told him to send an email detailing the electrical appliances that had been damaged by the power surge. “We did so, but we did not get any response to the email. We are going to wait until Monday, to see if they answer us, ”he said.
He revealed that they also called the technical repairs area to review the installation, because they were left with high voltage, but they were not attended to either.
“One of the televisions burned down after the storm, when we plugged it in,” he explained, indicating that “we decided not to plug in more appliances until an electrician checks the installation, so we are without a refrigerator, washing machine, radio, etc.”

Finally, the head of Citizen Protection stressed that the canals and drains worked optimally, managing to quickly evacuate the streets once the rains had concluded and called on the neighbors to avoid throwing garbage on public roads so as not to hinder the operation of these systems.
