Several shooting incidents have been reported in the city of Langley, a suburb of Vancouver, in Canada.
According to CBC the police confirm that several people have been shot and injured, and that at least one person has died.
A spokeswoman from the local police, Rebecca Parslow, says according to the media that several of the victims are homeless and that the police are working on the theory that the attack was targeted.
The police state that they have arrested a suspected perpetrator, but that it is currently unclear whether there are more people involved.
– We have a man in custody. Nevertheless, we cannot rule out that there are more people involved before we lower the threat level, says Parslow according to the CBC.
On Monday morning at 06.25 local time, several people received an SMS from the authorities warning that there is an ongoing shooting in the center of the city. This is reported by several local media, including newspapers Vancouver Sun.
According to the newspaper, the police state that there are victims. It is still uncertain how many victims there are after the shooting incidents.
Furthermore, the police state that they are looking for a man in a white car after the shooting, but it is uncertain whether it is a possible perpetrator or a victim who is wanted, according to the Vancouver Sun.
In the security warning from the police, they advise the public to stay away from three areas in the center of Langley.
The police have, according to the CBC, established an investigation at three locations where it is said to have been shot, just a few kilometers from each other.
The locations where the shots are said to have been fired are outside the Willowbrook Mall, outside the Cascades Casino and near a thrift store on Logan Avenue.
In the parking lot outside the Willowbrook Mall, at least nine shots were fired at a car, according to the newspaper.
