The prefecture of Savoie, via a press release sent on Monday, March 8, announces the temporary closure of several schools due to positive cases of Covid-19 in children and teachers.
A decision taken by Pascal Bolot, prefect of Savoie, in conjunction with the direction of the departmental services of National Education, in order to prevent the risk of the virus spreading.

The closed establishments are the elementary school of Gilly-sur-Isère (closed until March 9 inclusive), the primary school of Pussy, in La Léchère (closed until March 9 inclusive), the primary school of La Giettaz (closed until March 12 inclusive), and the Saint-Thibaud-de-Couz primary school (closed until March 12 inclusive).
As required by procedure, people who tested positive in these establishments were placed in solitary confinement for seven days. In this period of crisis, the prefecture recalls that efforts must be continued in terms of compliance with barrier gestures and health instructions.
