Several riders still test positive in Tour, Kämna go home due to a cold

The Tour de France has a lot of dropouts prior to the sixteenth stage in the round. Several riders have tested positive for the corona virus, while Lennard Kämna has to leave the race due to a persistent cold.

On Monday, all riders in the peloton were tested for the corona virus, but no decisions were made that day about getting off riders. Two drivers turned out to be positive, but it was not disclosed who they were. The only thing that came out about this was that both riders are not in the top twenty of the general classification.

AG2R Citroën Team reports on social media that Aurélien Paret-Peintre and Mickaël Chérel were the riders who tested positive at the weekly test round. The two can no longer start in the sixteenth stage to Foix. Cofidis also reports that Max Walscheid also has the virus among its members and is therefore no longer resigning.

Kämna will no longer be in the peloton in the last week of the French stage race. The German from BORA-hansgrohe is said to be dealing with a persistent cold. His team explicitly reports that the corona test of the entire selection had turned out negative.

More soon.
