Several people are killed in the shooting episode. Among them is a local police officer. This was stated by police officer Kerry Yamaguchi during a press conference.
The police do not want to say how many people died after the shooting, because there are relatives who have not yet been told about the deaths.
NBC writes that a man wearing handcuffs was led away from the scene by the police. The man was not wearing a shirt or trousers, but his right leg appeared to be covered in blood.
It is currently unknown whether the man is a suspect in the case.
ABC also cites an unnamed source that the police first moved out to the scene in connection with a report that someone had been shot in the parking lot outside the store. When they arrived at the scene, the perpetrator allegedly shot at them.
According to eyewitnesses, the perpetrator must have had a larger weapon.
According to Fox News arrived a SWAT team instead 22.15 Norwegian time.
At 22.57 Norwegian time, the local police wrote on Twitter that people should stay away from the area, as it is still an ongoing incident.
