SURYA.co.id | TUBAN – The Covid-19 vaccination for the elderly (elderly) in Tuban Regency is said to have not reached the target.
Deputy Regent of Tuban Riyadi revealed the reason for not achieving a vaccine to prevent the corona virus.
According to him, there are several obstacles so that vaccination for the elderly has not been achieved.
“Vaccination constraints for the elderly are comorbid,” said the Deputy Regent to reporters after an alert at the Police Headquarters, Monday (25/10/2021).
The number two person in Tuban explained that the screening stage (screening, ed) is a consideration for the elderly who cannot be vaccinated.
Even so, the Regency Government is still intense in conducting marathon data collection for those who are ready to be vaccinated.
“The problem is because the elderly have comorbidities, it is known after screening, so they cannot be vaccinated,” he explained.
He added, so that people continue to comply with the health protocols (prokes) for the prevention of COVID-19 by implementing the 5 M.
These include wearing masks, washing hands with soap with clean water, maintaining a minimum safe distance, avoiding crowds and limiting mobility.
“I ask that people continue to apply the 5 M prevention of COVID-19, in order to avoid the corona virus,” he concluded.
