Several injured in train collision in Greece
At least two carriages caught fire when two trains collided in central Greece late on Tuesday night. Several are injured, according to Greek media.
Rescue crews are working to evacuate passengers from the trains, according to the fire service.
The Greek public broadcaster ERT reports that dozens of people have been injured after a passenger train collided with a freight train. The fire service has not been able to confirm either the number of injured or the cause of the accident.
The collision occurred outside the city of Larissa.
Broadcaster SKAI has videos of derailed carriages with thick clouds of smoke rising from the train. According to the fire service, 17 fire trucks are working to extinguish the flames. (NTB)
