Twenty-five units responded to the fire and 106 firefighters and other rescuers are at St. John’s Hospital in New York. The New York City Fire Department said the fire is “active” but under control.
Hospital staff and patients are evacuated from the building. Two civilians have been injured but the severity of their injuries is unclear.
Firefighters report that the blaze apparently originated on the roof.
