The police in Agder have received reports of fireworks at Tinnheia and at Voie church in Kristiansand. Fireworks are also reported at Birkeland.
– We are talking about gatherings of between 20 and 30 young people, says assignment manager Kjell Upsahl.

Upsahl says that no one has admitted illegal use, and that the police do not have the opportunity to search all the young people.
– They are sent home, but it goes slowly sometimes, says Upsahl.
Those who were in the various places must have been of secondary school age.
– Some of the messages have been that they have shot at each other, Upsahl says.
No injuries or property damage were reported as a result of the fireworks.
Upsahl tells TV 2 that the on-site operations manager will take the case further to preventive. From there, it will be seen whether it is possible to do something about the events, which have happened several weekends in a row now.
– There have been several reports of fireworks since before Christmas and New Year, Upsahl says.
– One would think that reports of fireworks stopped somewhat in January, but now it still has until February, says Upsahl.

Upsahl says that the incidents took place near churches. There must have been gatherings in the churches intended for young people. Upsahl emphasizes, however, that it is not a question of young people associated with these gatherings who have set off fireworks.
– There are people who hear that something is happening in the church, there are also several who do not have good intentions who gather outside, Upsahl says.
