“No wild card for the climate”. Between 350 and 450 people marched this Sunday morning in Anglet to ask deputies to support “a real climate law” in the National Assembly. The “Climate and Resilience” bill has been examined since March 8 in a special committee but it arrives this Monday in the hemicycle.

The procession, in a calm and friendly atmosphere, started from the town hall of Anglet to rally the permanence of the deputy of Pyrénées-Atlantiques Florence Lasserre, near the Butte aux Cailles roundabout. The demonstrators, at the call of the Bizi association, deployed a banner over the building and cracked smoke in the colors of the Basque flag. They wanted to be heard by chanting “Ms. Lasserre, defend the proposals of the Citizen’s Climate Convention!”.

Because the walkers estimate the text “watered down” lack of ambition in the fight against global warming, and has been “more than emptied of its substance.”

While that was for me an important measure, I believe that people feel a great injustice to the polluting aviation sector. ”
The marchers also asked the elected officials of the agglomeration of create a sustainable and secure cycle path along the BAB, to replace the old one “coronapiste”.
