Recent floods have wreaked havoc in Germany. A video shot yesterday shows the dimensions of the disaster that hit a Porsche dealer. Several cars parked in front of the showroom were affected by the rising water level.
As we can see the wheels of the vehicles were overtaken by the water level, which probably entered the interior. Several Porsches were flooded. Among them is a Cayenne E-Hybrid that seems to be connected to the charger. You can also see a fully electric Taycan that was parked right in front of the building.
Brand new Porsche cars were flooded in the yard of a dealer in Germany
It seems that the flooded cars were ready for delivery, some of them with protective stickers used for transport. It is possible that the water destroyed the interiors of the cars and more than likely none of them will reach their owner. The most expensive of the copies seems to be the Porsche 911 Turbo model, which starts at 189,176 euros in Germany. The representation affected by the floods has a collection of used Porsche models, which were most likely also affected.
Although no one likes to see new cars in such a state, this is insignificant compared to the human lives lost during the catastrophic floods and also to the damage caused by flooding.
The number of people who have fallen victim to the raging waters of the rivers as a result of the heavy rains of the last few days is constantly increasing. And the material damage is huge. Some people lost everything they had, even the roof over their heads. In flood-affected areas, many people cannot be contacted. Mobile networks are partially out of order. In the Ahrweiler region of northern Rhineland-Palatinate alone, 1,300 people were considered missing.
