Thrissur: A football tournament will be held in Iringalakuda Iyenkavu Maidan on coming Saturday. Something very special. There will be male and female runners behind the ball. The SI of Iringalakuda Women’s Station is retiring on 31st of this month. NA A gift of love for humility.
The sevens tournament is organized by ‘Kootam Iringalakuda’ in collaboration with All Fit Sports Academy. Each team will have five girls and two boys participating in the competition, which is scheduled for half an hour. The teams consist of boys up to 15 years of age. Girls are up to 21 years old.
16 teams from different parts of the state came forward to participate in the tournament. The competition is conducted by including the first 12 teams. The first prize is Rs 5,000 and the second prize is Rs 3,000. The competition will also be controlled by women.
