“Seven Tunnels and a Bridge: Rotterdam’s Massive Renovation Plan for 2025-2028”

From 2025, the renovation of another seven tunnels is planned: Noordtunnel, Drechttunnel, Beneluxtunnel, Sijtwendetunnel, Tweede Heinenoordtunnel, Thomassentunnel and Botlektunnel. Finally, the Van Brienenoord Bridge is also added. The bridge will be tackled in the summers of 2026, 2027 and 2028. This will have a huge impact on traffic in the entire Rotterdam region.
