Seven Takeaway Services Operated by a Renowned Galway Restaurant at One Location

Nestled on the west coast of Ireland, Galway is a city that’s rich in culture and renowned for its exceptional dining scene. And when it comes to dining options, there’s one restaurant that stands out: Boojum. This well-known restaurant, famous for its delicious Mexican cuisine, has recently taken on the mammoth task of operating seven other takeaways from the same address. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at how they’re pulling it off, and what it means for locals and visitors to this vibrant city.

Several online food delivery brands are operating from Shake Dog’s premises in Galway, with their menus being sold on Deliveroo. The popular eatery on Prospect Hill, known for its extensive menu of breakfasts, milkshakes, burgers, and sandwiches, is also the home of virtual brands like Mother Clucker’s, Burger Builder, Colossal Burger, The Breakfast Guys, Frank’s Loaded Fries, Moes Grill, and Candy Shake. Deliveroo introduced the virtual brand concept to Ireland in 2019, allowing restaurants to set up and run multiple food offerings from the same kitchen under different brand names. Shake Dog operates over a dozen locations throughout Ireland, including two in Galway, and has been contacted for comment by Galway Beo. Deliveroo also operates several ghost kitchens through its Editions program.

So, there you have it, folks! A well-known restaurant in Galway has managed to pull off an impressive feat by stretching its business model to work as seven other takeaways from the same address. It just goes to show the ingenuity and resilience of the Irish in times of crisis. While it may be tough times for the restaurant industry, this innovative move has enabled this establishment to not only survive, but also thrive in a difficult climate. It’s small victories like these that deserve recognition and praise. Who knows what other surprises the restaurant industry in Ireland and beyond will come up with in the coming years. One thing’s for sure, though – there’s always a way to innovate and survive.
