Tonight, Russian forces struck Kharkiv again. There was an air alarm signal in the city, and locals mention at least seven explosions, UNIAN reports.
According to eyewitnesses, the missiles came from the territory of the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation.
The missile strike caused a huge fire in the vicinity of Kharkov. The explosions were so powerful that the blast wave lasted more than 20 seconds, the Kharkov site Truha reported, quoted by UNIAN. Local authorities are expected to provide more details.
The Ukrainian Azov Regiment has stated that it will take revenge for each of its fallen fighters and for the destruction that Russian forces have inflicted on Mariupol. They also promise to liberate the city. This was announced in the account in the Telegram of the regiment.
“Eight years ago, the Azov Regiment liberated Mariupol. Every year the city celebrates this day. Today in Mariupol they do not want to celebrate. We do not do that either,” the statement said.
Azov assures that the regiment is alive “and the city will continue to live”.
“We will take revenge for everyone who died. For every building destroyed. For every street that Russia desecrated with the ‘liberation’,” Azov said.
“Putin believes that Azov has remained under the ruins of Azovstal. But Azov is already the whole country. Azov will regain Mariupol. And we will fight until every Ukrainian town and village is liberated from the occupiers.” the statement said.
Meanwhile, Ukraine is preparing to mobilize women to “continuously replenish the losses” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The relevant order of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is from June 7. First of all, the mobilization of women who are already enrolled will start by June 15, and the military registration of Ukrainian women aged 18 to 60 will take place by June 31.
The order, signed by the Chief of the General Staff of VFU, Lieutenant General Shaptala, applies to Dnipropetrovsk, Kiev, Kirovograd, Nikolaev, Odessa, Kharkiv and parts of Donetsk and Zaporozhye regions.
A Georgian legion from the VFU has destroyed an enemy tank from a distance of 5 km by hitting the anti-tank missile complex “Stugna-P”, UNIAN reports.
The filigree work of the Ukrainian servicemen of the Georgian National Legion was sealed on video and published on the Internet.
“Take a good look at it. One of Stugna’s longest shots,” he wrote in the publication.
In their comments, social media users noted that the enemy target was more than 5 km away. The guided anti-tank missile flew towards the target for at least 22 seconds.
