Seven new cases of infection in Orkland: – We have an outbreak

Late Saturday night, Orkland municipality received confirmation that another seven people have tested positive for the PCR test. A total of nine people thus tested positive for the coronavirus on Saturday, in addition to one person on Friday.

These infections mean that adult education in Orkland municipality and the companies Shawcor Norway AS and Isfjord Norway AS are involved. A total of 125 people have now been quarantined in Orkland as a result of the infections on Friday 14 May and Saturday 15 May.

– With ten new cases in a short time in different groups, the situation is confusing. We will get 139 test results tomorrow, the municipality writes.

They think it is likely that this will involve more companies and possibly more schools and kindergartens.

The infection has visited several stores

Infection mapping has revealed that one of the cases of infection has been to the following places:

  • Shell Bårdshaug at approximately 24:00 on Friday 14 May.
  • Amphitheater Orkanger at 12: 30-13: 00 on Friday 14 May. The person in question was then at Vinmonopolet and Coop Mega.
  • Coop Extra Fannrem at 10: 30-10: 40 on Saturday 15 May.

The municipality wants people who have been to these places at the specified time to monitor symptoms for the next 10 days. If you get symptoms, you should stay home and order a test.
