In the list of 41 highest scoring female soccer players in the world this year, seven are active in the Women’s MX League; five are Mexican.

The International Football Federation, History and Statistics (IFFHS, for its acronym in English) has published the list of the highest network breakers in the world until November 30, 2022 and Liga MX Femenil has representation thanks to seven footballers.

In addition to those already mentioned from Liga MX Femenil, in 30th place is the Nigerian Uchenna Kanu, from Tigres and in 34th, Katty Martínez, from América.

Of the seven representatives of Mexican football, five are national and two foreign: Mia Fishel and Uchenna Kanu, reigning champions with Tigres Femenil.

It should be noted that both Burkenroad and Fishel competed directly for the Apertura 2022 scoring championship, which Amazona won with 17 goals, while Burky got 16.

Historical football figures appear on the list both in their clubs and respective teams, such as the following:

  • 17th English Beth Mead, from Arsenal
  • 24th American Alex Morgan of the San Diego Wave
