Seven deputies ordered home quarantine in connection with Covid-19 outbreak in the Saeima – Society and Politics – News

Mūrniece pointed out that she has no information that any of the Saeima deputies is currently ill with Covid-19.

Taking into account the home quarantine imposed on several deputies, it is planned that the decision on candidates for the position of a judge of the Constitutional Court will take place in the parliament after the deputies return to the rank, the Speaker of the Saeima expressed.

As previously reported, it was known that the status of a contact person and thus home quarantine was set for four deputies – Artūrs Toms Plešs (AP), Ēriks Pucen (KPV LV), Juris Jurašs (JKP) and Jānis Butāns (JKP).

The Saeima has already identified a total of four cases of Covid-19, while about 30 people have been recognized as contact persons for Covid-19 patients, Ilze Arāja, a representative of the Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (SPKC), previously informed LETA.

So far, it has been said that employees have fallen ill with Covid-19 in the Saeima, and there is no information about any sick deputies.
