Diego Maradona has been dead for a week. Skin re-wrote a farewell letter for the Argentinian football legend.
Cardiac arrest was the reason Diego Maradona died. The former Napoli and Barcelona player died at the age of 60.
Pele has said a prayer that one day he can play football in heaven with Maradona. The former Brazilian national team player again expressed his feeling of losing a good friend.
While uploading a photo of playing guitar together Maradona, Pele poured out his feelings.
“Today, it has been seven days since you left. There are many people who have enjoyed comparing us throughout their lives,” Pele said in a statement on social media.
“You are a genius who fascinates the world. A magician with a ball at his feet. A true legend. But, above all, to me, you will always be a great friend, with a bigger heart.”
“Today, I know that the world would be better if we could compare each other less and start admiring each other more. So, I want to say that you are incomparable.”
“Your path is marked by honesty. And your unique and distinctive way teaches us that we should like and say ‘I love you’ more and more often.”
“Your swift departure won’t allow me to tell you that. So, I’ll just write it down: I love you, Diego.”
“My dear friend, thank you very much for our whole journey. One day, in heaven, we will play together on the same team. And it will be the first time I have raised my fist into the water without celebrating a goal.”
“It’s because I finally got to hug you again,” Pele added in his letter to Maradona.
