Ralf Seuntjens was visibly emotional in front of the ESPN camera after the match between NAC Breda and De Graafschap. He played his last game for NAC on Friday, as a transfer to Japan is in the final phase.
Seuntjens was important against De Graafschap with a goal and was sung to by the supporters of NAC afterwards. That makes the striker emotional, who is now going to chase his foreign dream. “You could call this a dream scenario, but NAC is also a dream scenario for me. If you see what the supporters do for me… I can cry about that,” says Seuntjens. ESPN† “It’s not quite finished yet, but I’ll give it a big chance. A high offer has been made for me.”
Seuntjens settled last summer at NAC, the club he really wanted to play for. The 32-year-old resident of Breda actually wanted nothing more, but could not say no to this offer. “Maurice and Ali (Steijn, then trainer, and Dursun, agent, ed.) have made my dream a reality. I appreciate Ali and Maurice very much that they did that for me. Now another dream is coming my way Also through Ali. Suppose it goes through and I come back, I polish his shoes every day.”
