Setlist, photos and videos from the first arena show — Rolling Stone

Californian fans had to wait less than a week since the comeback was announced: Linkin Park played the first show of their “From Zero” tour in Inglewood. We have collected the setlist and impressions of the evening.

17,000 fans at first stadium show

As expected, the concert was sold out. That means that more than 17,000 fans went to the small town in Los Angeles County to see the band live for the first time with their new singer. After seven years of silence following the death of frontman Chester Bennington, the band have been appearing since last week with Emily Armstrong on the microphone. They have already given an intimate comeback concert, but the performance in Inglewood was the official start of the world tour.

This was the setlist of Linkin Park’s comeback

The band played a selection of songs from their entire career, focusing on the first three albums. Almost all of the songs were originally sung by Bennington, but of course the band also played the only song released with Armstrong to date, “The Emptiness Machine”. There were no other songs from the upcoming new album, but there were references to co-frontman Mike Shinoda’s former side project Fort Minor. “Keys To The Kingdom” (2014) and the posthumously released “Friendly Fire” (2024) also celebrated their live debut. In total, the performance lasted just over two hours.

After the performance in the band’s home country, there are now five more shows as part of the tour. The next one will take place next Monday in New York, after which Linkin Park will leave the USA for Europe. After stops in Hamburg and London, the band will head to Incheon near the South Korean capital Seoul in September. There will then be a gap in the tour schedule until shortly before the album release, before the sextet plays a final concert in Cota in Colombia. A full tour is planned for 2025.

New album “From Zero” in the starting blocks

Linkin Park will also release an album in the new line-up. “From Zero” will be released on November 15th, after the end of the tour. The title of the group’s eighth album is a reference to both the new start and the original band name. Before Chester Bennington joined and a first album was released, Linkin Park were on tour as Xero.
