Set the Strategy, Marc Marquez Wants to Win First at the Red Bull Ring Circuit : Okezone Sports

CERVERA – Repsol Honda racer, Marc Marquez, has never won a race at the Red Bull Ring Circuit, Austria. He wants to end that poor record in the race MotoGP Styria 2021, Sunday 8 August.

Before appearing at the Red Bull Ring Circuit, there is a half-season break for one and a half months. The racers can use that time for a vacation to refresh their minds before the second half begins.

Marquez will also be on vacation, like the other racers. However, he also wanted to improve his physique which was not yet 100 percent fit.

As is known, Marquez is not physically fit after a long absence to recover his broken right arm last season. Marquez even still feels pain in his right shoulder and arm until now.

This made him unable to perform optimally in the race. Since returning to MotoGP in 2021, starting from the Portugal series to Catalunya, Marquez has only finished twice and the remaining three ended in accidents.

However, Marquez broke the streak of bad results by performing brilliantly in the last two races. Marquez won the 2021 German MotoGP race at the Sachsenring Circuit, last Sunday 20 June. A week later, the 28-year-old racer finished seventh in the 2021 Dutch MotoGP race at the Assen Circuit despite starting from 20th position.

After struggling hard in the first half, Marquez had the opportunity to rest his body. In addition, Marquez will also do exercises so that he is ready to appear at the Red Bull Ring Circuit.

“My plan if my (right) arm allows it is to want to ride more motorcycles. At the moment, I only (ride the motorbike) race after race,” said Marquez, quoted from Crash, Thursday (1/7/2021).

“My plan is to try to race more every day before arriving in Austria and try more bikes in my physical training,” he said.

Although he has never won, Marquez has a good record by winning three podiums in four races at the Red Bull Ring Circuit. Marquez won the podium in a row in 2017-2019. If you can’t win, Marquez is expected to be on the podium.
