Set in HMMIK is forced to sleep with children in bed

You would think, and especially hope, that after fifteen seasons it would be over with the disastrous handymen in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, the opposite is true, so John Williams (51) is also making a sixteenth season of, you guessed it: ‘Help, Mijn Man Is Klusser!’. In the first episode it hits right away. John cannot believe his ears, but especially his eyes. Ludy and Jeroen live in a terrible ruin with their two children.

“My husband Jeroen has a huge job blockade”

“It’s not going very well here. My husband Jeroen has a huge job blockade,” is Ludy’s emergency call. “We can’t manage to do even a little bit.” The couple’s children are getting older, but still sleep in their parents’ bed. “I don’t know what to do anymore. I walk with a hopeless feeling”, says a desperate Ludy. She enlists the help of John, who comes to Zandvoort to help the couple.

When Jeroen is confronted by John, he shuts down. Then Ludy voices her concerns. “Our children want to invite friends here and that is not possible. You can see that, right? It is not livable for us at the moment,” she explains. “No, that’s right”, Jeroen agrees. “Of course I want to help.”

During the tour of the house, John falls from one surprise to another. For example, there are no door handles. “Why not?” John wonders. Even the toilet is not working properly. Then John goes upstairs, where he is shocked. “Shut up,” he says. “Seriously, people live and live here?”

The bedroom, also the office, shocks John the most. “What is this, dude?” The whole family sleeps four in a small room. A wardrobe is missing. “You live out of the suitcase? Guys, are you so far gone? There’s no privacy, nothing.”

Ludy and Jeroen’s house is such a ruin that there seems to be no end to the work. Nevertheless, after hard work, a good result has been achieved. When Ludy sees her new bedroom for the first time, she fills up. “Oh, how beautiful. Yes, beautiful.” The children’s bedrooms also impress her. “Fantastic. So beautiful. I never expected this.”
