The East Bohemians defeated Dukla for the first time in the 11th match between them in the first league, they have lost the last nine meetings. They once again confirmed their excellent balance at home, where they won for the fifth time in a row and did not score there in a single one of the last 11 league matches. The people of Prague have been waiting for an away win in the highest competition for 14 games.
Hradec’s starting line-up included stopper Petrášek, who two weeks ago transferred from the South Korean club Čonbuk Hyundai Motors and today, at the age of thirty-two, made his debut in the Czech league. The three-time international had the opening chance of the duel after a quarter of an hour, but he did not hit the volley cleanly at the back post.
A moment later, Lichý played a corner in his own goal and referee Všeček, after the intervention of the video referee and watching the replay, awarded a penalty to the home team. Vlkanova chose a not very strong shot on the ground, which Hruška caught and even caught it in his gloves. Hradec Králové spílmachr didn’t even convert his second penalty kick in the top competition. “Invaders” didn’t even give a second penalty in the league season.
Dukla wasn’t dangerous going forward, but the unconverted penalty kick knocked down the home side as well. The combative second half was played more or less without chances. It wasn’t until the 69th minute that Hruška sent Vlkanova’s shot only to Koubek, who missed from close range. In the 85th minute, Mihálik, who was alone in front of Hruška after Kodeš’s individual action, had a 100% chance, but he only hit the crossbar. Right after that, Šebrle put goalkeeper Zadražil through with a hidden shot, but Dukla was still unable to dramatize the end.
The Praguers did not win in Hradec Králové in the sixth league match for the first time. The East Bohemians continue to alternate home victories with away defeats in the new season.
