“Sesi Xavier Surrenders After 21 Months in Alappuzha Fraud Case”

Alappuzha ∙ Sesi Xavier (29), a native of Kuttanad Ramankari, who went on the run after the police registered a case for practicing law by forging documents, surrendered in court after 21 months. He surrendered before Chief Judicial Magistrate V. Manju yesterday at 11.30 am. The court remanded them for 14 days and sent them to Mavelikkara Special Sub Jail. The bail application will be considered today. The court has directed to produce again on 28th. The district crime branch officials informed that the custody application will be filed on that day.

The SEC forged the document using the enrollment number of a lawyer in Thiruvananthapuram. It has been used for two and a half years. The Bar Association found out about this and asked for the qualification documents but they did not provide them. Then on 18 July 2021 North Police registered a case for fraud and impersonation on the complaint filed by the association. The bar association also charged him with theft. That’s when they went into hiding. Police issued a search notice.

In the meantime, once Sesi reached the court premises to surrender, but realized that the non-bailable section had been imposed and the policemen were there.
