Giorgos Kadis and Dimitris Michtsoglous exchanged heavy accusations about the management of grader machines and the distribution of projects in different areas, until the situation got out of control.
Resignations are accepted
“I had no reason to hold hands with anyone. Just politically, the tone of my voice was raised and I apologize to the whole world and the Serrai people, especially” said Dimitris Michtsoglou speaking to Live News
A few hours later, the resignations of the two vice-mayors were accepted by the mayor of Serres, Varvara Mitliaga. The mayor described the episode as “unacceptable” and emphasized that it “does not represent the morals and values of the municipal authority.
