Serological pass in Monaco: what is this document for?

The Principality of Monaco has decided to launch a “serological pass” allowing people who benefit from a certain number of antibodies to delay their third dose of coronavirus vaccine.

While the Omicron variant has entered France, and new cases of Covid-19 are on the rise, “le Rocher”, which opened access to the vaccine booster from November 9 and closed its nightclubs three weeks before the Hexgone, decided to set up a “serological pass” in order to try this new method of fighting against the spread of SARS-CoV-2.

Concretely, this campaign, launched last June, is very simple: a blood test which shows the number of antibodies of a patient, and this “in order to know the level of protection of the population against the Covid” and the if necessary, delay the booster dose.

The blood test is open to everyone.

In the principality, the reproduction rate of the virus is around 1.5, that is to say that on average ten infected people infect fifteen. As for serious cases, only nineteen people are hospitalized, a figure that has been stable for months.
