In this way, within a period of ten business days Corona must respond to the scope it will have among its users who currently have this card and what will happen to those who currently have debts, whether delinquent or non-delinquent.
The main objective of this office is to verify that the financial institution respects the rights established in the Consumer Law, and takes measures to not affect the assets of the people who used the credit card.

More about Companies
As detailed by Sernac, it has already received complaints from consumers since the Corona announcement. In this sense, the complaints indicate that consumers “used the Corona credit card to purchase various products, for example, merchandise, but from one moment to the next it was closed by the company, without informing them of the decision.” The institution explained through a statement.
Faced with this, Sernac stated that Corona must carry out this process strictly respecting the rights of card users, avoiding measures that could affect them such as acceleration of fee payments, extrajudicial collection actions, among others.
Finally, the service announced that it will coordinate with the Commission for the Financial Market (CMF), to learn in depth relevant aspects of the closing process of the aforementioned credit card, thinking about the protection of consumers.
