For reasons that the investigation will have to determine, a cyclist had a heavy fall on the road this Sunday evening around 5:45 p.m. in Neufgrange while he was traveling in the rue St Michel and he was joining the crossroads of St Angeau . According to the first elements collected on the spot, a malaise could be at the origin of this accident.
Originally from Morhange, he was returning home after spending the weekend with relatives in Neufgrange. Seriously injured, the man was rescued by the Sarreguemines firefighters before being taken care of by the Forbach SMUR.
The victim was evacuated around 7.45 p.m. in a serious condition at Nancy hospital after being conditioned on site for nearly two hours. Sandrine Momper, mayor of Neufgrange was present at the scene of the accident as was the Sarreguemines gendarmerie.
