In Lance Armstrong’s podcast “THEMOVE”, not only the resignation of Petr Sagan from the Tour de France resonated on Thursday, but especially his possible departure from the Bora-hansgrohe stable.
Together with his guest George Hincape, Armstrong mockingly pointed out the above-standard conditions of the Slovak cyclist in the team, for which many potential employers reject him.
“Does Sagan plan to take the whole ensemble with him?” began former American cycling, which he supplemented Hincapie: “He has his team in Bor, which, in addition to his brother Juraj, co-drivers Daniel Oss and Maciej Bodnar, also has a mechanic, a physiotherapist and a press spokesman. And also a hospitality manager. ”

Armstrong remained slightly startled and sarcastically said: “Seriously? I didn’t have one. Doesn’t he want to marry a tennis coach, or be the administrator of a grassy court? ”
Sagan’s “regiment” turns out to be a big problem when signing a new treaty. Only a few teams can afford to accept such a large number of people at once. Sagan’s move to Quick-Step failed, as boss Patrick Lefevere did not want to have another cell within his team.
The only option for now is the French team TotalEnergies, which is able to fulfill all this for Sagan.
