SOUTH BANGKAiNews.id – Case dengue fever dengue (DBD) and dengue fever (DD) in South Bangka have increased since January 2022. In fact, the number beats the number of cases Covid-19.
Head of the South Bangka Health, Population Control and Family Planning Office, Supriyadi said, from the beginning of the year until February 19, 2022, there were 28 cases of DHF and DD. Two of them died.
Meanwhile, there were 17 cases of Covid-19 with one death.
Then in February until today there were five cases of dengue fever and four cases of DD with two deaths.
“So we need to be aware of the cases of DHF and DD because they can cause death,” said Supriyadi, Saturday (19/2/2022).
Facing the increase in cases of DHF and DD, the South Bangka government has visited the pandemic area of the case to conduct socialization, and provide abate and poison for DHF.
This is done so that the attention of RT and RW administrators and the community applies 3M plus.
According to him, an unsanitary environment is one of the causes of the emergence of cases of DHF and DD.
“This outbreak usually starts to increase when entering the middle of the rainy season because of the increase in mosquito breeding grounds,” he said.
