FATE unfortunate experienced by a man from English who suffers from cerebral palsy. It was removed from the flight because wheel chair it was too heavy to lift off the conveyor belt.
Launch Newsweek, Brandon Aughton from West Bridgford originally planned to fly Ryanair from East Midlands Airport in Derby to Malaga, Spain, to vacation with his nanny.
Augton’s condition affects his motor skills, including his balance, movement and coordination. Aughton and his nanny have gone up to aircraft when air cargo handling company Ryanair said his wheelchair was too heavy to lift off the conveyor belt and into the hold.
The pilot then made the decision that the 24-year-old man could not board the plane due to flight delays while trying to resolve the issue.
Aughton was then escorted back by airport officials and had to rebook flights and fly late the next day for his first vacation since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. He was forced to miss his vacation hours due to the incident.

“I’ve flown twice but have never had a problem like this. I’m angry,” Aughton told Nottinghamshire Live.
His nanny Orla Hennessey (41) said; “Brandon was really mad at one point. It felt like no one wanted to help us,” he regrets.
“Swissport was responsible for putting the wheelchair on the plane and telling the ground crew that it needed to get on the plane. But they didn’t and there was no equipment to lift it because it was a 270 kilogram seat,” Hennessey continued.
“There were four of them there, they said they couldn’t lift it because of health and safety. They unceremoniously let us off the plane even though we had a letter from Ryanair saying the seats weren’t too heavy and could be carried,” he said.
“The woman from Swissport said we gave them the wrong information, but we told them they had that information because Ryanair said everything was fine,” Hennessey added.
