Seriously and with humor – a new production Two Meters / Day is being created in the Latvian National Ballet

Ballet performance Divi meters is a choreographer Elza Leiman, Anton Freiman and Aivars Leiman at the same time both serious and humorous reaction to the ballet artist ‘s internal experiences during the pandemic.

A protracted etude created by Alsace Leiman Fellow human being tells of a man who is unable to find a way out of the theater and at the same time from himself. It is a dancer’s attempt to solve the most difficult – a relationship with yourself. Anton Freiman has created a theatrical performance about the emotional and physical aspects of the artist, resuming dancing after a long forced break. In turn, the sketch created by Aivars Leimanis will experiment with mandatory rules, mentioning what ballet would look like if artists had to observe a distance of two meters. The unifying element of the production this time will be the word spoken by ballet artists.
