Researcher at the security company Randori warns in a new report of a serious vulnerability in Palo Alto Network’s Global Protect firewall.
The vulnerability has been designated CVE 2021-3064 and is rated 9.8 out of 10 on the CVSS scale, which means that all users are recommended to update the software to version 8.1.17 as soon as possible.
According to Palo Alto Networks, more than 10,000 computers are at risk and there are already signs that hackers have begun to take advantage of the vulnerability to access login information and other sensitive information.
Worried users are encouraged to check logs and alerts to see if there are any suspicious activity.
