A total of three semi-trailers and three passenger cars were involved in a serious traffic accident on the E16 near Bulken on Wednesday evening.
A total of eight people were involved in the accident.
– One person was trapped and is critically injured, says operations manager Steinar Hausvik in the police to NRK on Thursday morning.
The injured person, a woman, was first taken to Voss hospital by ambulance. She was then taken to Haukeland University Hospital by rescue helicopter.
– An air ambulance was requested from Bergen, but due to the weather it could not get to Voss. Therefore, a rescue helicopter was requested from Florø to the hospital, says the operations manager.
Happy for the city
None of the other eight people are said to have suffered serious injuries.
The police received a report about the accident just before 10.30pm on Wednesday evening, and the emergency services went out.
Among other things, fire crews from Evanger and Voss were sent out to help the health authorities.
The fire brigade must have good control over the vehicle.
– It appears to be a serious accident, said duty manager Stian Kvam in 110-Vest on Wednesday evening.
– It is very slippery in the area, confirms Kvam.
Naudetatane went out with large crews. Among others, a total of four cars from the fire service at Evanger and Voss.

Heard a bang
Around 02.30 the emergency services are finished in the city. But the traffic is being directed.
A witness at the scene was out walking the dog when he heard a bang.
– Then more and more emergency services arrived in the city.
There is manual traffic management in the city.
On Wednesday evening, a tree and rocks fell on the same road closer to Bergen. There are two tunnels closed until Thursday afternoon.
Correction: The police first reported that it was two lorries, they changed this to two semi-trailers at 23.25. So to three semi-trailers. At 05.50 the police stated that there were three semi-trailers, three cars and eight people involved.
