The accident is serious, according to rescue manager Andreas Næsheim at the Central Rescue Center in Southern Norway.
The 110 switchboard in Agder reported the accident outside Korshavn in Lyngdal municipality at two o’clock on Monday night.
– It is a small recreational boat with four people on board. It has run into an iron pillar, says Næsheim to NRK.
Several people have been sent to hospital after the accident, according to Næsheim.
In addition to other emergency services, rescue boats, rescue helicopters and air ambulances participated in the rescue work.
